From the top of the fender flare to the ground was 31.5". Notice how the springs are bent upwards (thats a bad thing)
34" inches. This means the old springs were sagged somewhere in the neighborhood of 2.5"!
While I was under there I noticed that the track bar has been completely severed from the axle for quite some time......this may explain the random THUNK when going around corners:
Took it for a test drive and I was pleasantly surprised at how much better it handles now. The swaying in the curves I mentioned in a previous post is almost unnoticeable now and the suspension doesn't bottom out on every little pothole. Also driving 30+ down a washboard road is much more controlled and feels safe again. The front suspension feels a little soft and the shocks are worn out (they are the original ones installed at the factory) but those are minor issues and will have to wait until after the trip
